While driving through the countryside I have noticed from time to time that more and more people are using Jars/Urns for their water fountains. While I have never seen a water fountain that was sold that way (it is possible that they are, I just haven’t seen one in a store). Anyway I think it is a great idea! It kind of reminds you of ancient times when the young women carried similar urns of water from the nearby “spring” or “well”.
These urns come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. Some are tall and sleek with handles, while others a bit more round.
This spring while working in my back yard and seeing all the tulips and daffodils coming up, I’ve decided to change my decor in one area. We are fortunate to have a good sized yard in the back, so we can actually make it look like we are entering another room as we move about the garden.
I think I would like to add a windmill and some Dutch kids, do you think it will look okay?
I’ve been wanting to get some new birdhouses for our property. We live on a farm so some areas are “wild” while other areas are developed. My husband has always liked to feed the birds, while I enjoy watching and listening.
While searching the internet I found some really great birdhouses that fall into both categories: decorative and wild. I really liked this one, and I hope my grandchildren will also. Do you think it will frighten the birds?
