Our Son-in-law has a large lighthouse in his yard near the Marblehead lighthouse in northern Ohio. It sure sets of his yard and is a highlight when he turns it on at night!

Would be grateful if you could encourage others to support us by writing as;

Letters to: Mr David Williams, Chief Executive
                  Portsmouth City Council,
                  Guildhall Square, Portsmouth PO1 2BG

E-mails to: David.Williams@portsmouthcc.gov.uk

One such letter;

Dear Mr Williams,

Fort Cumberland SINC
On 11th January 2008 and on 29th August 2008, your Council wrote to QinetiQ demanding that an independent “Bird Survey” be carried out on the Fort Cumberland SINC under Regulation 19,Town & Country Planning Act [Environmental Assessment Regulations] 1999 .

Please let me know what is happening about this survey.

As a regular visitor to the SINC at Fort Cumberland, Eastney, I implore you to consider the wishes of residents and other visitors to Eastney by insisting that this survey is carried out.

In this the 2nd most overcrowded city in England [itself now,officially, the 3rd most densely populated country in the world], it would be a tragedy to damage such a SINC without a proper survey. Let us think not only of ourselves but of the generations who follow and the wishes of those who fought and fell in earlier generations so that we might enjoy this “Green & Pleasant Land”.

Yours  etc.,etc
***********************************************************
Thank you for all your help. Eastney Boy
